STREETLY MOTOR CLUB – CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

RALLYING (MULTI VENUE, SINGLE VENUE, ROAD), RACING, SPRINTING, HILLCLIMBING, AUTOTEST, PRODUCTION CAR TRIALS


(a) For each car beaten in class

2 points

(b) 1st in class is awarded

2nd in class is awarded

3rd in class is awarded

40 Points

(c) Starting an event gets

5 Points

(d) 1st Overall is awarded

2nd Overall is awarded

3rd Overall is awarded

N.B. 7 Scores to count, worst scores will be dropped once seven scores have been reached.

SMC CLUB AWARD

(e) Marshalling (per day)

(f) Organising a SMC social event

(g) Newsletter Contribution

(h) Winning an SMC Competition

(i) Working on behalf of SMC at an event

N.B. Those members receiving remuneration (for any of the above) on a professional or semi-professional basis are ineligible to score points.

SUBMITTING OF POINTS


i. It is not for the Championship Secretary to submit your points for you and all points claims must be submitted to the Championship Secretary as soon as possible after an event at the following address:

ii. For points to be claimed for an event the applicant must be a fully paid up SMC member and must enter the event / rally etc with “Streetly Motor Club” as their nominated club. There must be some form of proof to substantiate the points claim e.g. copy of final results, Motorsport News snippets etc

iii. Any member joining after 1st September will only be able to claim points from the date of joining.

iv. In order to qualify to win an award for a particular competition year, the member must have contributed to or helped the club by completing at least one of the following activities :-
- Marshalled on a competitive event
- Organised a social event for the benefit of other SMC members
- Contributed two or more articles to the newsletter editor
- Worked on behalf of SMC on an event (social or competitive)

v. Winners of awards must attend the club’s annual award ceremony in order to receive their award. If an award winner does not attend, the award will go to the next highest place competitor in the particular category. However if an award winner is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances (as agreed by SMC’s committee) an award winner can nominate a person to collect the award on their behalf.

vi. Depending on number in each class, some classes may be amalgamated at the discretion of the SMC committee.
