Wii Sports Night on 3rd September 2008

Streetly Motor Club held its first Wii Sports Night at the Castle Hotel in Tamworth.

Attended well by the club's regular members, the evening started with a rather competitive game of 10-pin bowling.  Wii beginner James Pugh blasted into the lead with Nathan Trivett following close behind.  Some good scores (and not so good scores!) were recorded and the game finished without any accidents or injuries.

In 1st place was James Pugh with a very respectable 190, followed by Nathan Trivett in 2nd with 181, and Jim Ward some way behind in 3rd place with still a good score of 146.

The second game of the evening was Wii Tennis, and a few sweats were broken as club members went into Wimbledon mode but without the strawberries and cream.  Mike Morgan and Jim Ward met in the very competitive final with Jim winning the best out of 3 games comfortably, using his patented effortless wrist-flick action.

The Wii entertainment concluded with a spot of Cow Racing, and none of the members managed to reach the checkpoints in time!  We obviously needed more horsepower....

The evening finished with a quick run through of the in-car footage of George Cooke and Sandy Woodley's N2 class winning performance at Mewla Rally in Builth Wells on 23rd & 24th August.
