2006 2005 2004 2003

16/11/03

Tyre'd Goat Slalom
Lawrence once again provided a computerised results service for Streetly Motor Club's first Slalom event.

14/11/03

Rally of the Tests
Lawrence popped over to Curborough on the Friday afternoon to lend a hand with the 3rd running of this Historic car event - it was very wet, but that did not detract from a field of 81 historic cars having a go around the full course at Curborough.
6-9/11/03 Wales Rally GB
Lawrence did mid-stage radio on SS4 SS6 and marshalled on SS14, assisted by George, Aron, Martin and Peter' all members of Streetly Motor Club

26-10-03

Premier Stages
Lawrence did mid stage radio assisted by Martin and Jamie from Streetly Motor Club

18/10/03

Bulldog Rally
Lawrence did start radio (for the first time) on SS2 and mid stage radio at post 2 on SS8
Aron And Douglas assisted as stage marshals.
Nothing much to report (regarding the rally anyway)
27-28/9/03 TAC Novice Road Rally
Lawrence manned a couple of Finish Controls for the 40 or so competitors. Lawrence also wore his diplomatic hat in dealing with a Police enquiry.

20/09/03

Plains rally
Lawrence did his 2nd event as mid stage radio operator on SS4, junction 9 (next to Junction 1).
A very friendly group of radio marshals at signing on, although not many stage marshals. Even so, Lawrence managed to operate the radio and keep an eye on the twenty or so spectators that somehow found their way to junction 9.

17/19/03

Marshals Training
Lawrence attended a MSA Marshals training session held by Wolverhampton and South Staffs car club.
An MSA signature will now allow Lawrence to upgrade to a National Marshals Register Grade 2 marshal.

13/09/03

TAL Motorsport Stages, Hixon airfield
Lawrence
and George, with assistance from Margaret, computerised the results for Cannock & District Car Clubs' T.A.L. Motorsports Stages held at Hixon Airfield.

30/08/03

Woodpecker Stages
Lawrence did his first ever duty as mid-stage radio operator on SS6, junction 10
George and Aron assisted as marshals.
It rained, it hailed and the sun shone. There were lots of delays for the projected field of 180 cars, but we only had one incident to attend to - car 30 retired just prior to our location; the details of which were radioed through to Control.
26-27/07/03 Drystone Road Rally
Lawrence did his first (for a long time) Passage Control duty on this night event up in Derbyshire. Manning two passage controls for a field of 42 cars. Very enjoyable, dark and tiring, but excellent fun

21/06/03

Dukeries Rally
Lawrence took along novice marshal Colin and "trainee" marshal Kev to SS4/SS8, Jnc11
Nothing much to report, bar;
Escort approached our 90R at the wrong angle and took out the stage arrow - this was replaced of course. Spectators little girl had got blisters from ill fitting shoe - supplied plasters from first aid kit. Oriental family queried safe route back to the Sherwood Forest visitors centre avoiding English folklore heroes.

18/05/03

Midlands Rally
Lawrence sat with Graham in the Radio car and assisted with SS11/12 Start Radio and SS15/16 Finish Radio
Mark did Arrival Control duties on the same stages
Nothing much to report bar an acknowledgement and a smile from Gwyndaf Evans

26/04/03

Somerset Stages
Lawrence & George Marshal SS3/SS10/SS12
Not much to report bar a rather heavy Landrover spinning out and having to be pushed

12/04/03

Vauxhall Astra Stages
Lawrence & Colin Marshal mid stage on SS3/SS10 Jnc3
Had a rolled Evo to attend to in the morning. Had a cracking barbeque with other marshals during the lunch time halt, organised by the stage commander. No "action" so to speak of in the afternoon

16/03/03

AGBO stages Rally
Lawrence assisted with Recovery at the Weston Park Water splash
Recovered 1 mini back to service

08/02/03
