12/12/05 |
Rockingham Stages
As an end of year bash, I decided to help an old mate out as a mechanic
to his Citroen Saxo VTS. |
|
18-20/11/05 |
Lombard Revival
Rally
I'd not done one of these before, so it was a pleasant change |
|
19-22/11/05 |
Roger Albert Clark
Rally
Another cracking "adventure" in the borders, managing to do radio on
five cold, icey and foggy stages. |
|
15-16/10/05 |
HI-Q National
HillRally Championship
Another 2-day event with camping, beer and 4x4 motorsport - what more
could a bloke ask for. |
|
09/10/05 |
Ditton Priors
The last time I was here I was mechanic to a competitor, prior to that I
used to regularly navigate here - it was good to be back at the grass
roots level of our sport. |

01/10/05 |
Edinburgh Trial
(Derbyshire)
Having been asked to help out, and not having seen a Classic Reliability
Trial for a long time, I just had to pop along.
Appointed to a non-competitive Hold Control, we were there to
reduce traffic issues in the local villages should any competitors
experience issues on the next section - which they did.
This was the first time MSA radio had been introduced to the
MCC, and from what I could tell, it was well received. |
|
24/09/05 |
Plains Rally
A bit of a lie-in, with the stage not due to start until 13:00. Had a
bit of a surprise when car 39 decided to fall off the road and roll down
the mountain side - both crew were ok. |
|
17/09/05 |
Wales Rally GB -
SS8/11, J4D
Not a particularly spectacular location, but our role was one of safety.
It was good to see Colin back, but unfortunately the fatal accident of
Michael Park put a downer on the climax of the event. |
|
10-11/09/05 |
British Off Road
Championship - Round 4
A cracking 2-day event at the MOD testing facility at Driffied. Lots of
mud & jumps made for a great spectacle. Once again
Marches Motorsport found some great buttie wagons and a beer tent
for Saturday night. |
|
03/09/05 |
Woodpecker Stages
Rally
Pretty quite event for junction 10 on SS2, but elsewhere cars were
obviously in difficulty. |
|
28/08/05 |

|
23/07/05 |
Swansea Bay Rally
An event not without its problems; clock delivery car broke down,
course car broke down, cars caught fire (all on our stage). The event
was further delayed by 2 cars visiting a lake ! |
|
09/07/05 |
Quinton Stages Rally
My second visit to Epynt. Lots of
excitement at our junction, with a few competitors visiting the ditch
after the jump. |
|
26/06/05 |
Mid Wales Stages
Another opportunity to get seriously
sunburnt. With this stage running on a different radio channe to usual,
the radios crews around the stage really seemed to gell - a suberb days
rallying. |
|
19/06/205 |
Dukeries Rally
Another couple of stages in the Sherwood Forest complex - lots of
dust, flies and sunshine. |
|
11-12/06/05 |
Rally of the Midlands
Once again took on the role of Chief
Marshal for what turned out to be a busy long weekend -

|

|
08/05/05 |
Mainline Haulage Stages
Streetly 1 assisted with Noise check on
the Friday and navigated the course opening car and drove closing car on
the Sunday, as well as performing other marshalling jobs. |
|
17/04/05 |
Landrover World Record Attempt
Not as many participants this year, but
the atmosphere was still superb |
|
16/04/05 |
British Off Road Championship -
Round 1
Another trip to Rhadnor for this superb
spectacle. |
|
09/04/05 |
BRC Live
Another opportunity to wear the Chief
Marshals hat |
|
12/02/05 |
Wyedean Forest Rally
Did'nt get to see much action this time -
our stage was cancelled following an accident after about 20 cars had
passed us. |
