Transport You don't need a specialist vehicle to get to your marshalling post, although do you really want to take your expensive sports saloon, with lowered suspension and lo-profile tires into the forest? My vehicle of choice is a Vauxhall Frontera 2.8 TDi LWB 4x4. This gives loads of space for four adults and all the kit, reasonable comfort levels and the ability the go/park almost any where.
Whilst the Frontera is my daily driver (covering around 15k miles a year), it does attend events fitted with a demountable light bar, that incorporates:

Modifications in the pipeline include (as funds allow):
Just for fun, the Frontera is fitted with a set of Dixie musical horns and hidden running lights. In the cabin, all the additional equipment is easily demountable in about 5 minutes.
Origonally, all the stuff carried to/from events was loaded into crates before being stored in the boot. Feeling handy with a jigsaw one weekend, I came up with a lockable boot box:
Having a 4X4 also allows for some excellent outdoor motorised recreation, whether it be in the form of Green Laning or even a 4X4 Play Day:
